We can’t quite bring ourselves to be all over Instagram, it’s just not us. But we would like to remind everyone that we are still very much alive and kicking. We can undertake every job from relocating a whole university department to replacing one small bolt on a press and all the jobs in between.
AMR Logan Press has over 70 years experience in all aspects of print and printmaking engineering and support. We continue to work with some of the most prestigious artists and arts organisations in the world and a huge number of private artists working everywhere from the Royal Academy to a draughty shed; all are really valued. We have always felt that the quality of our work and the long relationships that we have built with our clients would compensate for our reluctance to blow our own trumpet, and largely this has proved to be true. However, we find ourselves in the world of social media and ‘online presence’ — if you’re not all over Instagram and Forums then you don’t exist. The reality is that some of the companies that spend a lot of time promoting themselves have to subcontract us to carry out the difficult jobs on their behalf.
We feel that our pricing is extremely competitive, some of the quotes we have been shown from other companies have been eye-watering and frankly exploitative. We have spent decades trying to do an excellent job for a decent price so that everyone can access our expertise. It’s very easy to exploit the fact that there are few people offering these services to charge really high prices but then people are excluded, the community shrinks and everybody loses.
