Patrick made a pattern and took it to one of our favourite foundries to have three gripper fingers cast in brass. Guy finished them on the milling machine and Patrick polished them ready to be fitted by Giles and Theo.
Patrick and Guy took a trip to local steel stockholders and came back with some big heavy steel offcuts to make a bracket for an Albion bed. It will be drilled in position and fitted by Giles and Theo.

Patrick Roe is writing a book on Josiah Wade and the Arab printing press. Although research has slowed because of other distractions, he has set up a Victorian office in Dunkirk Mills, Halifax, the building Josiah Wade owned from 1903.
